About Dentures
Dentures are a form of prosthetic device that’s constructed to replace missing teeth. Dentures are supported and held in place by the surrounding soft (gum)and hard (bone) tissues in the oral cavity (mouth).
The traditional denture construct was designed to be removable, but the latest in denture design technology can allow the denture to be snapped on implants for more retention.
Implant Overdentures (Snap on Dentures)
These are removable dentures that are supported by two or more implants. This is a great option for patients who don’t have enough of the jaw ridge and gums to support a denture while the pt is talking or eating: or for patients that can not afford a fixed hybrid bridge over four or more implants but want something more than a conventional denture. These dentures and implants are a great option for both arches, especially the lower jaw.
